International Composition Workshop 2022
Thursday, May 5- Saturday, May 7:
ICW 2022
After an almost 3-year intermission due to Cov-19 conditions, we are back! This year’s selected Composers will participate into the 3rd version of the ICW 2022 run by the Contemporary Music Lab. The Workshop will take place at European University Cyprus in May.
The young Composers selected after a close review of a number of applications are:
- Alsu Nigmatullina (Tatar/Switzerland)
- Daniel Carpenter (UK)
- Iakovos Maimaris (Cyprus)
- Jakob Elkin (US)
- Roxani Chatzidimitriou (Greece)
- Ege Sayar (Turkey)
- Zygmund de Somogyi (UK/Philippines)
Schedule of events:
5 and 6 May:
10:00 – 12 noon: Daily rehearsals (Cultural Centre)
18:15: Lectures (Classroom 117)
7 May:
18:00: Roundtable discussion (Auditorium Alpha)
20:00: Final Concert (Cultural Centre)
Contemporary Music Lab is a Research Laboratory under the Music Programs of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at European University Cyprus . It aims to engage mainly with Artistic Research and focuses its activities on and around Contemporary Music.
